The Golden Dowery

Long ago In Medieval times the Son and Daughter of Warring lords married bringing peace to the land. However a dowery was paid each year of their marriage which was set as one Falcon This was understood to be a live hunting bird although legend has it that the bird was in fact a solid gold statue. Recently discovered manuscripts have pointed to the golden statue theory, although all the birds are thought to have been melted down during the intervening years.

Today the descendant of the marriage Monty Mountfast-Andride  lives on what is left of the estate: a derelict house with about 2 inhabitable rooms.

Danny Mountfast – Davis is a distant relative, Harry Barton is the local vicar, Conrad Gryce  is an Art collector,  Doris Barfield is a foolish person who has claimes to know the whereabouts of the golden statue.
